Microchurches
Microchurches are small, simple and unique expressions of the church - allowing them to be fluid and creative in their mission, adaptable to their context and set up to care for and empower every person to know Jesus and engage in His mission. Under the care of a Shepherding Elder, we affirm the microchurch as the most basic expression of the Church.
The Way Church Network is both decentralized and centralized. It's decentralized in that the microchurches operate as independent, autonomous, God ordained ministries to the city and beyond. While the microchurch is the center and focus of our mission, some centralized ministry is needed in order to better strengthen and equip microchurches to succeed. This includes a Network Leadership Team responsible for shepherding the movement, stewarding resources for Kingdom impact, protecting the doctrine and the vision. Networked together, the microchurches unite to demonstrate the value of true community and to accomplish what they cannot individually. Working together with some centralized direction a community of microchurches can accomplish more for the kingdom.
If you'd like to learn more about how you can be a part of The Way Church Network with your own ministry or getting involved with a microchurch, we think having coffee with an elder would be a great next step.
